I've always been drawn to woodcuts. I'm not sure why.
Same! In the last few years especially, they've become one of my favourite mediums. They have a special quality I don't find elsewhere. :-)
Was blown away recently by an exhibition that included enormous nature-inspired woodcuts by the Swiss artist Franz Gertsch. Worth seeing if they happen to be displayed nearby.
Oh wow - I will have a look. I doubt they'd make it all the way to New Zealand unfortunately, but still keen to check them out online :-)
