This is no time to feel tired, but if you do that's OK. Wanna go out with me and play?

I love these. I wasn’t on Substack until March so I’m so glad you’re reposting these. I’m amazed by her poetry. It’s so rich.

Yeah - most people who follow me now would have never seen these - I probably had about 10 subscribers haha. And y'know I wanted to start the project right so included a lot of my absolute favs in those first few months - seems only right to share them again with everyone now! :-) Yeah, agree so much - so rich and fresh - feels like it could have been written today, or any time! 🖤

It was an honor to be one of the first to comment on your first postings of these wonderful forgotten poets. And it was sweet of you to mention me. Coincidentally, my post today features one of your poems, Blessing for Sound, which I paired with one of Joaquin Sorolla's paintings, that illustrates so beautifully in art what you communicate in poetry. May you have a blessed Thanksgiving .

“I am so tired—so tired.”

From the first line this resonates—emotionally, physically or mentally—probably for all of us. And then that beautiful turn! Stunning poem.

The second is equally beautiful! Bold & timeless!

Congratulations Dick on all your work here in curating & responding to these voices.
